Random Thoughts about Countryside

6 May 2007 No Comment
I went out with my highschool and college barkada last night. We had a great time. I haven’t seen some of them in a long time. I passed by Loyola House, and since I missed the Jesuits so much, I passed by the Father’s Rec Rm. They were kinda surprised to see me, but they welcomed me just the same. I was really happy to see them.

Jordy was there and he texted me afterwards that he was kinda senti by the whole thing. I was too. It’s indeed a bittersweet feeling to realize that I’m now living a different life from them. I’m really really happy to see Jordy, but I don’t envy him being a Jesuit. I’m happy for them. I’d be really happy to see them ordained 3 or so years from now, and I would be there, and I would be really proud to be blessed by them.

We had a great conversation over so many bottles of san mig light. We were talking about so many stuff. Many of our classmates are now into politics and we talked about that. And we were also exchanging notes about the best political ads and who to vote for in the coming elections. We even talked about how TRUE LOVE NEVER DIES. We toasted everything: from Gil, to happiness, to TRUE LOVE, to Mikki, to BoomBoom Bautista, to everything under the moonlight. It must be the beer talking. In vino veritas.

I can’t wait to visit Gil in Ateneo de Naga (and pass by CamSur too. hehe). We already planned a roadtrip to Naga sometime soon.

Syempre the inihaw of countryside is still the best inihaw ever, and it’s funny because when we passed by Ateneo, we just had to open the car’s windows. The cool night air was great. And leaving Ateneo was like entering the real world again.

I’m writing again not for anything else, but because i feel that with my new life, this is my only way of staying in touch with myself. The “world” can eat you up and you start living an unreflected life. This is my way of finding stability. This is my way of finding myself.

Let’s see how this goes…
