Thundercats are Loose!

13 July 2007 No Comment

The other day, I was talking to my bestfriend John Paul and his cousin Louie, and we talked about how the Transformers kicked ass.

And then in true my-generation-is-better-than-the-generation-today fashion, we got to thinking about which among the “cartoon” shows we grew up with we’d like to see on the big screen. We all saw how they mangled He-Man (with Dolph Lundgren). Maybe we could have Brad Pitt reprise the role for the new generation?

But we all had a consensus that we’d all love to see Thundercats on the big screen. Eric Bana as Lion-O (my friend Faye says Hugh Jackman or a bulked up Orlando Bloom would also make worthy bearers of the sword of the Thundera). Michael Clarke Duncan as Panthro. Angelina Jolie (or Fairuza Balk if they can’t afford Angelina. hehe) as Cheetara. Sean Connery as Jaga.

Think about it. That would be FUN.

Shout-out to Dreamworks, Steven Spielberg or Michael Bay–make our dreams come true!!!

While the reel version is not yet in the works though, there’s this really cool site called Nostalgia Manila that showcases full length episodes of the Thundercats. Just the way you used to like it. Remember being in a hurry to come home because “Thundercats are loose”? Now, you can have your own Thundercats fix. Check out this link: Watch Thundercats Episodes at Nostalgia Manila and enjoy!
