Who Would Make a Great Wonderwoman?

Wonder Woman Official Trailer

I grew up watching the series Wonder Woman on a local channel. It starred Linda Carter (funfact: she was supposed to be 1st runner up to Filipina Miss Universe Margie Moran Florendo) who had a great tanned body and looked ever so convincing as the Amazon goddess.

Now that there is news of an upcoming Justice League of America movie , people are speculating over who would be best in portraying Wonder Woman. Some girls, like Victoria Hill (of December Boys) and Shannyn Sossamon (Knight’s Tale, One Missed Call) seem to have the inside track for the role, but I’m sure there are a lot of opinions going around on who would be best for the iconic role of Wonder Woman.

UPDATE: According to IMDB, the movie is under development and might be shown in 2011. Oh well, that means we have to wait. But we can dream, right?

My Top Choices are the following…

From the movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry

From the movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry

Jessica Biel. She has the buxomy body for it. And she’s athletic and strong-looking for the role. Did you see her on Blade Trinity? It’s not hard to imagine her in the Wonder Woman costume with the golden lasso. Oh, yeah, she’s blond and Wonder Woman’s a brunette. And she might be a tad short for the supposed to be 63″ Amazon Goddess, but with the technology we have right now, anything can happen.

Ali Larter. It’s time for this HERO to hit the big screen big time. She’s great as Nikki in the hitseries HERO. I just have a feeling she’ll do great as WW. She looks just as great as Jessica Biel–and she’s even prettier when she’s kicking bad guy asses.

Cobie Smulders. She is Robin Scherbatsky in How I Met your Mother. While I’m not too sure she can kick and beat bad guys to kingdom come, I think she has the looks to pull it off. Given the chance, I think she would make a good Wonder Woman.

Nigella Lawson

Nigella Lawson. Of Nigella Bites fame. I know she’s a long shot but just look at her. She has the face of WonderWoman. And she’s a natural brunette. She can do away with the excess weight brought about by all the cookies and cakes she bakes. Watch her shows on the Food Network, and you’ll know what I mean when I say she is a Goddess.

Adriana Lima. Let’s see: (1) Tall–she’s the tallest in this list which more than qualifies her for the role of the 63″ Wonder Woman–CHECK. (2) Face–exotic and Brazilian can pass off for Amazon–CHECK. (3) Body–this Brazilian Victoria’s Secret (and Armani, and Guess?, and XOXO) model looks great on the catwalk with nothing but lingerie and angel wings on–CHECK. She would look great with the WonderWoman costume on. Now, if only she can act…

And # 1 on my list:

Megan Fox. If you have seen her on Transformers and you still doubt whether she would make a great WonderWoman, I think you have to watch both Transformers movies all over again. She’s young. She’s really pretty–in fact she looks a little like Linda Carter. I would say she has a better face than Linda’s. And she’s got the body to fill the big tiny costume of WonderWoman. Just imagine the red, blue and gold on her.

*sigh*
