The MyHero Project is a website that inspires people with an ever-growing internet archive of hero stories from around the world. The website showcases countless stories of heroism.

The stories range from those of strangers who show acts of kindness, to explorers who help discover, to poets whose words inspire us, to a section called: my hero’s hero– those who inspire the heroes themselves.

There are familiar names: Mother Teresa, Princess Diana, Amelia Earheart, Jackie Chan, Michael Jordan. But there are a lot more unfamiliar names, like musician Vedran Smailovic, and Willie O’Ree, the first black player of the National Hockey League. Their stories inspire nonetheless, despite their anonymity–or maybe because of it. For it is the unknown heroes who make heroism accessible to all of us.

If they could do it, then we could.

If you’re feeling down and feeling really bad about humanity, or if you’re in need of a boost, or if you just want to be inspired to do good in your own way, then this is the website for you.
