Blast From the Recent Past 3: True Colors

This song has had a lot of cov­ers and ver­sions. I am not sure who sang it first but I really like this ver­sion by Phil Collins and I love the con­cept of the MTV. I also like the angsty ver­sion of Cyndi Lau­per. Even Sheena Eas­ton and Eva Cas­sidy had their own ver­sions years ago. Sev­eral years ago, the soap brand Dove used the song as a back­drop for their Real Beauty cam­paign and that brought about a revival of sorts for the song. More recently, here in the philip­pines, the acoustic band MYMP also revived the song for the younger generation.
