It is from a book by Kent Ner­burn called Let­ters to My Son, A Father’s Wis­dom on Man­hood, Women, Life, and Love.

This is the Palanca Award win­ning play by Juan Ekis. It won the 2^nd place in the one-act cat­e­gory in 2003. Long read, but I tell you, IT IS WORTH IT. It’s in Fil­ipino, with­out any trans­la­tion, so I apol­o­gize to my for­eign readers.
