Readability is a project by Arc90 Lab. It is a very simple but effective tool that removes the clutter from websites and makes you go straight to reading the article you want to read. It removes photos, columns, flash videos, and with genius nifty coding, converts the page you are reading into something more readable and beautiful.

With Readability

It’s so easy to install. You just go to their website. Choose among the following settings:
- Style: Newspaper, Novel, Ebook and Terminal
- Size: Small, Medium, Large and ExtraLarge
- Margin: Narrow, Medium, Wide, Extrawide
[I personally use Novel, Small, and Narrow as my settings.] And then just drag the READABILITY bookmarklet into your browser’s toolbar. When you find a website worth reading, simply click the READABILITY bookmarklet and it will automatically convert the webpage.
I’ve used this as a way to unclutter what I’m reading on the web and I’ve found it to be very helpful. It keeps me from straying to things that would detract me from the actual reading material–like ads, or flash videos, or anything that is clickable that would bring me to another page. It keeps me focused to the task at hand, and only that.
