I fell in love with this song the moment I heard it. And when we had lunch with Gary V sev­eral years ago and he men­tioned that this was one of his favorite songs as well (and we asked him to sing it to us), I fell in love with it again. I think Gary sang this song in the wed­ding of Mike and Ange, two friends of mine. I don’t know if he got to do his own ver­sion in an album though.

I heard this in a Side A con­cert sev­eral years ago. I know it’s not their song, but I loved their ver­sion. The other day, I was dri­ving through EDSA and heard this song again over the radio. It reminded me of a life that was more sim­ple, less complicated.

Just the other day, my office­mates dis­cussed the movie Toy Story 3 over lunch. I haven’t had the chance to watch it, but they were all rav­ing about it. For some rea­son, and buoyed by the con­ver­sa­tion about Toy Story, we started talk­ing about change. And for some strange rea­son, we started talk­ing about this par­tic­u­lar song by Jose Mari Chan. The song accom­pa­nied the dis­cus­sion and I just had to write about it now.

I woke up to this song some weeks ago. That was a very good mem­ory. I have since played this Bea­t­les song every time I need to be psy­ched about work, or life in general.

This was a song I became quite enam­ored with sev­eral years ago. I’ve always loved Kitchie’s songs. It helped that when I lived in Makati, Kitchie lived in the same build­ing. But besides that, I love her songs because of the beauty of its lyrics.
