This post is inspired by the Lifehacker article on Getting Things Done Explained to Students. I’ve mentioned Getting Things Done (or GTD) many times in the past. Many of you probably know what it is already. Some of you probably use it as a way to organize your life. But whether you are a GTD “addict”, novice or just plain harassed and you want to put some organization in your life, this article is for you.
This is the last of a three part series on 150 things about the Ateneo. It’s difficult to exhaust everything about the Ateneo; so this is not an attempt at exhausting everything about it, it is an attempt to showcase the beauty, and the history, as well as talk about trivial things we probably do not know about it. I hope it helps all of us Ateneans (and even those who aren’t) celebrate our experience and celebrate the greatness of who we are, what we stand for.
This is what we are about. This is the Ateneo Way.
Just because you are not the manager of the department, project manager on a project or team leader on a team doesn’t mean you can’t be the leader. Leadership isn’t about your title or label, it is about what you do in the workplace.
When I was younger, I loved pro wrestling. I used to watch the WWF (precursor to the WWE), and reveled in the fights and back stories of The Ultimate Warrior, Andre the Giant, Jimmy “Superfly” Snooka, The Million Dollar Man, Sting. I also loved the Marty Jenetty and Shawn Michaels of the Rockers, laughed at the funny antics of the Bushwhackers. I was a big fan of the Hitman Hart of the Hart Family, and I saw Hulk Hogan beat wrestler after wrestler starting from his best friend Andre the Giant, to his other best friend Randy “the Macho Man” Savage, to Yokozuna, and eventually saw fear in his eyes as he lost to The Undertaker.
I think this is one of the most beautiful songs around. The melody is haunting, the lyrics is the best, and Cristopher Cross just blows your mind.
