I copied and pasted it in my email and I unfortunately forgot to include the name of the author. So I apologize for the writer. And if it’s your work, please contact me so I can credit you for it.
Studying for exams, freelance contracts or working on bigger projects can mean freedom with your schedule. But it can also mean procrastination, stress from deadlines and an organizing nightmare. Working on your own schedule can be easier. However, there are more ways to waste your time if you aren’t being paid by the hour.
If you look at my side bar, you may have noticed this nifty little logo that says: “This blog serves Nuffnang ads.”
Well, the other day, I was passing by EDSA on the way to work when the video board along the highway showed a Nuffnang.Com.Ph ad. It said BLOGGERS OF THE WORLD UNITE or something like that, and I remember taking a mental note of the url, and going to the site when I arrived in the office.
I got this from Guy Kawasaki’s blog. These are the winners of the World’s Best Presentation Contest. The one on top is the Second Prize Winner called FOOTNOTES. The one below is entitled THIRST and won 1st Prize.
I hope I can start making my keynotes as beautiful as this. Presentation Zen has a great post on Making Slide Designs which would be really great to study in deeper detail.
When I saw this speech for the first time, a thought came to me: this is history being made right before my eyes.
This is one part of Barrack Obama’s acceptance speech at the Democratic nomination for President. This is classic Obama: clear, strong, hopeful, aspirational. It builds in crescendo and tugs at your guts. Yes, it is more symphony than speech as David Gergen said on CNN.
Wise Bread is a community of bloggers who have banded together to help its readers live large on a small budget. And because I am in a quest to budget my money, this site has been quite helpful to me ever since I subscribed to it.
Wisebread’s Mission
Wisebread believes that people on a budget can still enjoy fabulous and fun lives. It’s mission then, is to share tips that will help people live large without sacrificing their financial independence. What does it mean to “live large” on a small budget? Essentially it means you can have fun while you save. From Wisebread: “Too many financial experts focus on the negative aspects of money management. They freely throw around words like “sacrifice” and “responsibility” like there was a fire sale at the Boring Store.”
